Location: SE Briscoe County. Just west of Valley School. CR 33 is the east boundary, Hwy 86 is the south boundary.
Description: This is a very nice ¼ section that is a combination of improved grasses and native acres. The North 80 acres are planted to Blue Grama and Blackwell Switch grass. The South 80 acres are established in WW-B Daul on the terraces, and Blue Grama and Blackwell Switch grass between the terraces. The NE and SW corners are native acres with very large mesquite and willow trees. The tank/spring and willows are located in the SW corner. The tank is 12-14 feet deep. It never went dry during the drought. It is an excellent place for wildlife and Owner states there are lots of deer that frequent/stay in this area. The Electric meter and headquarters are near the NE corner of property. The well is located here and is 110’ deep, with 60’ of standing water. A new pump and heavy wiring were replaced in 2013. Water is plumbed to a set of older corrals just NE of the campsite. There are beautiful views on the elevated far NE corner where you can see the whole place, as well as the caprock. All in all, a very nice combination place with open areas in grass, and also some very heavy cover in the native acres that will attract and hold wildlife. The farm is eligible for whatever program that may arise for 2014. (other than CRP) It has a grain sorghum base of 24.2 acres with a 23 bushel yield, and a cotton base of 56.1 acres with a 248 pound yield.
